Speaking at a felicitation programme organised by members of the DAV College Teachers’ Association on the college premises here today, he said that efforts of academicians associated with the university have brought good results. He added that in the near future, the university would earn a pride of place in the global academic sphere.

The college teachers felicitated the vice chancellor for his fourth term at the varsity. They eulogized his role in giving a new look to the university and raising the standards of education

However, DAV College students were disappointed after the vice chancellor refused to directly accept a memorandum of demands during the ceremony.

He asked college principal Dr Ashok Saxena to receive the memorandum and later forward it to him. The agitated students wanted to meet the vice chancellor and apprise him of the admission problems.

However, the college principal blamed the students for being ignorant or careless in taking admission on the pretext that their provisional admission depended on announcement of the back paper result.

The principal said that the admissions were over by the time results were out in September. He added, “Hence, it is not possible to admit these students.”
