The mobs attacked two police posts in Sopore and Habakaddal in Srinagar last night and set a state road transport corporation office afire in Baramulla, police said.

45-year-old Gulam Nabi Bidyari, who was injured last night when security forces opened fire to quell a stone-throwing mob in Habakaddal in downtown Srinagar, succumbed to his injuries in a hospital this morning, they said.

Two persons were injured in firing in Bemina here yesterday, police said. A driver identified as Mehran was injured at Hyderpora here when protestors lobbing stones attacked his vehicle. He is a resident of Baramulla.

Another stone-pelter sustained bullet injuries in Kaniakadal here this morning, police said.

Kashmir Valley was yesterday relatively peaceful barring stray incidents and one episode of firing at a stone pelting mob by security personnel here in the night in which one person was killed.

With today's death, the total number of people killed since July 30 has gone up to 31.
