Custody of Raju, four others extended by 14 days

A local court today further extended the judicial remand of Satyam Computer’s former chairman B Ramalinga Raju and four others by 14 days.

A local court on Saturday further extended the judicial remand of Satyam Computer’s former chairman B Ramalinga Raju and four others by 14 days.

The XIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate extended the remand of all the five accused till March 20.

Ramalinga Raju, his brother and former Managing Director Rama Raju, former CFO Vadlamani Srinivas, sacked auditors of PwC S Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas are lodged in Chanchalguda jail in Hyderabad in Rs 7,800-crore Satyam fraud case.

Meanwhile, B Suryanarayana Raju, who had obtained anticipatory bail, on Saturday surrendered in the designated CBI court dealing with the Satyam fraud case.

Suryanarayana Raju is younger brother of Ramalinga Raju and director of SRSR Advisory Services.

He was evading police arrest ever since the state CID sleuths conducted searches at his residence and office in Hyderabad in the month of January.

Granting conditional anticipatory bail to Suryanarayana Raju on Thursday, the 4th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge had asked him to surrender before the designated CBI court and deposit his passport within 10 days.

The judge further ordered him not to leave the city till further orders and make available himself before the investigating agencies as and when required by them for interrogation.
