IN A bizarre incident, a man jumped into the Kaliasot river after placing a bet with his friend in Kolar area on Sunday and was missing till late in the night.

IN A bizarre incident, a man jumped into the Kaliasot river after placing a bet with his friend in Kolar area on Sunday and was missing till late in the night.

According to information, Kamal Meena, 40, who was on the bridge with fellow labourer Ram Kishan alias Sagaria jumped into the Kaliasot river, after he was challenged by Ram kishan. Both live in Akbarpur area.

There was no trace of Kamal till late night and he is feared to have drowned. The police, who initially registered a case of missing person are investigating.

In another incident, a man died in Gunga after being hit by a bulldozer. Kailash, 35, resident of Ratua died on the spot. The police are investigating the case.
