Khanna was addressing an election rally in favour of BJP candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency Kavinder Gupta at Dashmeshnagar.

Khanna said, "The Congress was making all efforts to once again mislead people on false slogans and promises but will not succeed this time as the people have already made up their mind to vote for BJP candidates and the BJP will achieve its 'Mission 44+'."

Gupta said the 'record gathering' at Srinagar rally was also an indicator that the people in Kashmir also want to vote for the BJP and defeat NC, Congress and PDP.

He added that the Congress was finding difficult to face the people as it had no genuine answer to the questions of people who want clarifications on Congress' support to NC, which always preferred Kashmir over Jammu.
