The death toll in a spate of coal mine blasts in China since Sunday has risen to at least 92 with 28 injured and seven others missing, the state media reported on Tuesday.
The latest report of a mine accident came from east China's Jiangxi province where at least two miners died and seven others injured in a gas blast on Sunday.
According to the Jiangxi provincial safety officials, at least two people are still missing.
But the exact number of miners working underground at the illegally-run Lianying mine when the accident happened remains unknown, Xinhua news agency reported.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the gas blast in a coal mine in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has risen to 23 with the discovery of one more body last evening, local officials said on Tuesday.
Eleven workers who were sorting impurities from a coal heap were buried when the heap collapsed at the Shuicheng Coal Mine Group colliery, in Guizhou province on Monday.
In another tragedy, 32 miners were killed and 28 injured in a colliery gas explosion at Changyuan Coal Mine in Fuyuan, a county in southwestern Yunnan Province.
