Dilabagh, who was accused of raping a minor earlier this month, was arrested on Thursday and lodged in a police lockup at Taidi, where he was found hanging from the ventilator later that night, Pauri district magistrate Chandrashekhar Bhatt said.

Dilabagh was to be produced before a local court on Friday, the DM said, adding that the SDM is looking into the matter and whoever is found guilty will be punished.
