EVACUATION OF the allotted accommodation to Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has generated resentment among activists of the Samajwadi Party here.
Citicising the Congress for allegedly stooping to “cheap politics”, SP district unit president Chandrabali Yadav said people of the State would give a befitting reply to the Congress.
He said hundreds of Congress leaders were residing in the bungalows allotted to them out-of-turn, but the government did not issue any notice to them.
He alleged that evacuating Mulayam Singh’s house was a conspiracy by Congress president who did not pay attention to the CM’s request of allotting a bungalow to his parliamentary brother Ram Gopal Yadav.
State Working Committee member of the party Gopal Yadav alleged that the Congress was targeting the SP, as it was frustrated over loosing its hold in UP.
State Minister for Agriculture Jaiprakash Yadav, Chandrabali Yadav and secretary Krishna Kumar Tripathi criticised the UPA for evacuation of Mulayam Singh’s bungalow.
They alleged that the Congress was creating a situation in which leaders of Opposition parties were harassed.
SP leaders said they would demand Mulayam Singh Yadav to review the issue of support to the UPA and assess the situation.
