Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil on Tuesday visited the slum cluster in Geeta Colony in New Delhi, where six persons were killed in a blaze on Monday night.

Patil also assured all possible help to the victims.

"The Government is with the affected people. We will help them in all possible ways. The Delhi Government will decide compensation amount and the Centre would add to it, if required," Patil said.
The home minister was accompanied by Union Home Secretary VK Duggal, City Police Commissioner KK Paul and other senior police and fire officials.
Six persons were killed, including a woman and child, and four injured when fire broke out in the slum cluster, along the banks of the Yamuna river, destroying 600 hutments on Monday night.
