Depositors decide to move National Consumer Forum

FRUSTRATED AT not receiving justice from 26 Government departments and agencies in the past one year, the beleaguered depositors have decided to register their grievances with National Consumer Forum.

FRUSTRATED AT not receiving justice from 26 Government departments and agencies in the past one year, the beleaguered depositors have decided to register their grievances with National Consumer Forum, New Delhi, and file a public interest litigation (PIL) against Gujarat Mercantile Credit Cooperative Limited, charging the cooperative with swindling their deposits, siphoning off their money to fictitious accounts and creating dummy companies. The total deposit with the cooperative is Rs 123 crore involving money of over 24,000 depositors.
