Meena has also sought a report on the encroachments in the area. “I have neither been informed about the demarcation nor encroachment issue. I will take officials responsible for this to task,” said Meena.
Hindustan Times has been reporting on encroachments of the forest bund and a drain.
The deputy commissioner’s instructions came after forest officials admitted that there is nothing in the records that deals with the details of the bund. It is believed that the bund originally starts at Nathupur village near Aravali and ends at Najafgarh.
Residents complain that encroachers had dismantled the bund for laying roads.
“I am worried over the negligent attitude of the forest officials for not raising such important issues in our monthly meeting,” said the DC and added the officials should act promptly.
The deputy commissioner took note of HT reports on the clogged drain and encroachment of bund at DLF Phase-4 and Sushant Lok.
“I am sure after demarcation, everything will become clear. If there is encroachment, I will certainly take action against them,” added the deputy commissioner.
