Four hundred gelatine sticks and 1,000 detonators were seized on Wednesday by police from a man near Bekobar village in Jharkhand's Koderma district.

Rajendra Modi was arrested on the Koderma-Jainagar road near the village and the detonators, explosives and fuse wire were seized from him.

Modi is a resident of Burmo village under Jhumri Telaiya police station of Koderma, police said.
During interrogation, Modi said he works for a man named Pradip Sao, a dealer in explosive materials, and that he was carrying the explosives that were to be supplied to stone mines, police said.
