Dhoni's parents on cloud nine

"Any parent will feel glad on such an occasion, but for us it is even more gladdening as it came against Pakistan," Dhoni's father Pan Singh told PTI.

"The thrilling moment, in fact, was Dhoni's six against Shahid Afridi," he said.

A cheerful Dhoni's mother, who was glued to the TV, said, "wish my son scores more runs for the country".

The 26-year-old from Jharkhand struck 148 from 123 balls for his maiden one-day hundred that gave India the impetus to its third-ever highest total of 356 for nine.
