Hooda, who was at Chandigarh Press Club, here said the government had taken back the land which was given to Reliance.

Hooda said that the opposition had been misleading the people by issuing false statements in media that they would return the land acquired for SEZ in Haryana. He questioned that which land the opposition parties were referring to.

He said that in case of the present government the percentage of giving licenses after releasing land was 20.57% whereas during the tenure of the previous government it was 39.78%. He said the department of town and country planning had yielded a revenue of `10647 crore during the tenure of the present government whereas it was `662 crore in the tenure of previous regime.

'Not biased against any officer'

In reply to a question concerning an IFS officer of Haryana cadre Sanjeev Chaturvedi, he said that the state government was not biased in taking action against officers. “Those making outstanding performance are rewarded whereas those found guilty of dereliction of duties are punished,” he said.
