Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is busy saving his chair rather than caring for the State, charged All India Congress Committee general secretary and former CM of MP, Digvijay Singh, here last night during an informal chat with newspersons at the residence of district Congress president Mool Singh.
He said the reservation was blown out of proportions by a small section of the media. The reservation is also an aspect of social justice.
The reservation system is part of the declared policy of UPA which was approved unanimously by Parliament. A nation like the USA had also implemented reservation in every field 40 years back, he added.
When asked about the BJP’s reaction to the reservation issue, Singh said Shivraj Singh Chouhan should complete his homework in the State first.
If BJP was not in favour of reservation, why does it not openly oppose it? asked Singh. Singh said that among the three BJP chief ministers in the State, Babulal Gaur was comparatively the best administrator and had the will power to do good work, he said.
Singh further informed that he would be leading an agitation in protest against power and water crisis in his assembly constituency on June 3 at Jamner village, which is a part of Raghogarh.
