Digvijay quizzes BJP on quota

He said the reservation was blown out of proportions by a small section of the media. The reservation is also an aspect of social justice.

The reservation system is part of the declared policy of UPA which was approved unanimously by Parliament. A nation like the USA had also implemented reservation in every field 40 years back, he added.

When asked about the BJP’s reaction to the reservation issue, Singh said Shivraj Singh Chouhan should complete his homework in the State first.

If BJP was not in favour of reservation, why does it not openly oppose it? asked Singh. Singh said that among the three BJP chief ministers in the State, Babulal Gaur was comparatively the best administrator and had the will power to do good work, he said.

The Congress would also be launching agitations at block levels on May 30 in protest against Government inaction in resolving the water and power issue, he added.
