The Congress regime, Rabbi said, had left utter mess behind it and the party had to spend a lot of time and energy in cleaning up after them. “The MCD was in a very bad shape as it had heavy liabilities. The BJP not only cleared its liabilities, but also implemented the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission,” she said.
Abbi said the chief minister was wrong to say that Delhi was the first city to reserve 50 per cent of seats for women. “The reservation in local bodies and panchayats has been implemented in most states. Delhi is, in fact, the last state to implement it. The CM should not make false announcements,” she said.
Dikshit had also commented that the agenda of the Standing Committee meeting was cleared in a hurry on Saturday. “The items were placed before the committee by the executive wing after following due procedure and they were cleared as per procedure,” she retorted.
Meanwhile, leader of opposition in Delhi Assembly, VK Malhotra also supported Abbi and said Dikshit was making false accusations.
