Amid differences between Congress and party-ruled Delhi Government, AICC chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday held a meeting with Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit and her known detractor DPCC President Rambabu Sharma.

The nearly two-hour-long meeting was held against the backdrop of differences cropping up between the government and the local Congress on various issues including MCD's ongoing demolition drive against the unauthorised constructions in the national capital.

The meeting, also attended by Ashok Gehlot, AICC General Secretary incharge of Delhi, is understood to have reviewed "contentious" issues which were arisen in the recent past.

Emerging from the meeting, Gehlot told reporters that various issues that had come up before the Coordination Committee formed for better understanding between Government and the party were discussed.
