Disgruntled AAP workers — gathered under the name of Aam Aadmi Sena — on Sunday burnt an effigy of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal.

They were protesting the anti-democratic state of affairs in the party and appealed to Delhiites to use NOTA on April 10, the voting day.

Mithun Khanagwal, state-level president of the Aam Aadmi Sena said, “We were the volunteers who went door-to-door during Delhi assembly election in 2013 to ensure AAP win. But unfortunately, post-elections, certain top people of the party underwent 180 degree attitudinal change. Delhiites have been cheated once and it should not happen again.”

Prabhat Kumar, who convened the gathering, said, “We oppose all seven candidates of the AAP. We ask people not to vote for Kejriwal and AAP. If they don’t want to vote for Congress or the BJP, we request them to use NOTA.”

BAAP to be launched

Neeraj Kumar a member of the Bharatiya Aam Aadmi Party (BAAP), who was present at Jantar Mantar, said they are going to announce the formal launch of BAAP party on Monday.
