The dedicated helpline meant for women in distress, which is not functioning properly since it was launched last month, will be in order in next three days.

At a meeting held on Monday in Ghaziabad, senior police officers of Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad discussed the issue pertaining to the anti-obscene helpline with DIG (Lucknow range) Navneet Sikera. The meeting was also attended by telecom operators.

The action comes after HT highlighted the issues related to the toll-free number 1090 last week as calls made to this number often get connected to Delhi Police.
