In a meeting held at his camp office, when the DM asked the reason for not distributing mid-day meals in schools in July, the Deputy RMO said that he did not receive any demand from the BSA and thus foodgrain was not procured from FCI godown for the purpose.

However, Deputy BSA Vimla Vashishth said that ABSA informed about their demands at block level and no such demand was made at the district level.

Contradictory statements given by both the officials led the DM to ask for explanation from both of them so that the person responsible could be spotted.
There are approximately 2 lakh students studying in primary schools of the district for which the government has provided the facilities of mid-day meals.

Those present were Deputy RMO, District Supply Officer SP Srivastav, Deputy BSA Vimla Vashishth and others.
