DMK leads in Tamil Nadu bypoll

SS Ghouse Basha of ruling DMK is leading by over 13,000 votes against his nearest AIADMK rival VV Rajan Chellappa.

SS Ghouse Basha of ruling DMK is leading by over 13,000 votes against his nearest AIADMK rival VV Rajan Chellappa at the end of six rounds of counting for the October 11 Madurai Central Assembly by election in Madurai on Tuesday.

The bypoll was necessitated following the death of senior DMK leader and Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Minister PTR Palanivel Rajan on May 20.
