A 44-year-old doctor committed suicide at his residence in south Mumbai in the early hours of Monday morning, police said.

Pravin Solanki, who was living with his parents in the Government Colony at Tardeo, committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in their residence, they said.

The cause of suicide was not known, police said, adding further investigation are on in the matter.
