Mayawati said and added that the days of the State government were numbered. “It would be voted out of power in the Vidhan Sabha election”, she said.“The Vidhan Sabha election in Uttar Pradesh would be held along with the elections in Punjab and Uttaranchal. This information I have collected from reliable sources in the Election Commission”, she said. She announced that the party workers’ rally scheduled for June 30 had been postponed. Fresh dates would be announced after the monsoon session of Parliament.“Uncertainty prevails at the Centre and the United Progressive Alliance might fall during the monsoon session itself.

We have decided to organise a workers rally with an eye on the Vidhan Sabha election,” she said.” If the UPA government goes then we would have to organise another rally for the Lok Sabha election. Rather than endure double expenditurewe have decided to wait till the monsoon session gets over”, she said.
