Talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Magsaysay awardee Sandeep Pandey said that the national campaign, ‘Do not give bribe: Use Right to Information’, which was already going on in 60 cities across the country, would be also organised in Varanasi and Chandauli districts. He said this campaign was launched on July 1 and would conclude on July 15.

Pandey said the main objective behind launching this campaign was to generate awareness about the use of Right to Information Act among the people. He cited examples where people used their Right to Information for getting their problems resolved without paying bribe to any official of the concerned department.

Pandey said in Varanasi, a camp would be organised at district headquarters with the help of social organisations like Asha Parivar, Asra, PVCHR, Mahiula Swarojgar Samiti, Prerna Kala Mancha and Lok Chetna Samiti.

Pandey further said that Asha Parivar and Varun (both social organisations) would organise the camp at district headquarters in Chanduli.
