Driver 'molests' woman bus passenger, arrested

A driver today allegedly molested a woman passenger in a moving private sleeper bus, according to a top police official. A co-passenger made his way to the co-driver and asked him to drive the bus to Bankapura police station, police said.

Shakeel has been taken into custody on a complaint by the woman that he molester her when the Belgaum-bound bus from Bangalore was passing through Bankapura around 3.30am with the co-driver at the wheels, Haveri SP Chetan Singh Rathore told reporters.

As the woman raised an alarm, a co-passenger made his way to the co-driver and asked him to drive the bus to Bankapura police station, Rathore said.

The woman in her complaint alleged that Shakeel molested her while she was asleep, he said adding investigation was on.
