The Election Commission has ordered a hearing by its officers on March 7 in connection with the alleged irregularities and arson which damaged official documents in Pungro-Kiphire assembly constituency during counting.
Nagaland chief electoral officer Lalthara said here on Wednesday that the candidates for the constituency were asked to appear during the hearing either in person or through a duly authorised representative.
Lalthara said if the candidates did not appear, the matter would be decided by the commission without further reference.
The results of Pungro-Kiphire and Arkakong constituences were witheld due to alleged irregularities and arson and a team of EC officials is scheduled to visit the areas tomorrow.
