The notices have been issued, on the complaint of leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi, to Panchayat and Rural Development Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar; PWD, Minister Kailash Vigyawarigya and Laximkant Sharma.

The Commission has also rejected the request made by BJP Member of Parliament, Krishna Murari Moghe and asked him to file reply by October 27. Moghe had sought time till November 15 to reply.

Secretary of the Commission, K F Wilfred served these notices on the three ministers asking them to file a written statement, with six spare copies, on or before October 27. Commission warned the ministers, “if no reply is received from you by the date abovementioned, it will be presumed that you have nothing to say in the matter.” These notices were issued under Article 192 (2) of the Constitution of India.

Senior Congress leader and leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi had filed petition in the Commission on June 30 seeking disqualification of these leaders.
