The Election Commission has ordered suspension of the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district for not following its instructions during the recently held assembly by-election in the district.

The two officials were earlier served notice by the commission seeking response from them at the earliest.
The two assembly constituencies of the district-- Gohad and Tendukheda -- went to bypolls on September 10.
