District magistrate Ministhy Dileep has sent a copy of her complaint to the Uttar Pradesh government as well.
The IAS officer is reported to have complained that the SP chief had threatened and insulted her for ordering cancellation of 70 arms licences in the district.

Yadav had allegedly accused her of having lost her sense of proportion and being unable to differentiate between a criminal and an ordinary citizen. He had also suggested that she should get her “head checked” and told her to mend her ways within a week.

Denying he had insulted the officer, Yadav said the SP always gave due respect to women. “I am a disciple of Dr Ram Monhar Lohia who always gave proper place to women,” he said, adding that his comments had been twisted and there was no question of his showing disrespect to a woman.
