Eicher Motors CV sales up 54 pc in August

The company reports 54 per cent increase in sales largely due to the successful launch of Eicher HCVs.

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Eicher Motors on Monday reported 54 per cent increase in sales in August at 1,960 units compared to the same month last year.

"The increase in sales has been encouraging as it reflects directly on the increasing acceptance of the Eicher HCVs," Eicher Motors Chief Executive (Commercial Vehicle Division) A Ramasubramanian said.

The company's newly launched tipper Terra 16 in select markets has also been received very well, he said.

Eicher sold 1,667 units of LCVs and 293 units of its HCVs during the month.
