EME celebrates Raising Day

IT WAS on October 15, 1943 that the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (EME) saw the light of the day. Today the corps celebratedits 63rd anniversary. The local EME unit organised a series of cultural programmes and sports events on the occasion.

Today the corps celebratedits 63rd anniversary. The local EME unit organised a series of cultural programmes and sports events on the occasion.

They organised a special sammelan on October 14, 2006 for all officers, JCOs, Civilians, Combatant personnel and 508 Army Base Workshop, Fort Allahabad.

Brig RK Degweker presided over the function.

Brig Degweker congratulated all ranks and civilians for their technical achievements and commitments.

He recounted the achievements of the Corps of EME and exhorted all the personnel to rededicate themselves with renewed enthusiasm to meet the challenges ahead.

He laid stress on the need for added initiative in development work and meeting production commitments, ensuring better quality and performance.

He also gave away professional Excellence Award to outstanding Combatant and Civilian personnel.
