Employees take company to task

AROUND A dozen boys and girls working with the marketing company, Oasis, have filed a complaint against the company alleging non-payment of salary and commission promised at the time of joining.

The company employees lodged a complaint with the MIG police station alleging that false allegations of theft etc were being leveled against them, if they threatened to leave the job, or demand the salary and commission promised to them. The company has a branch in B-16 MIG area, which is run by Anil Shrivastava, while the owner is Nitin Kumar, with offices in Lucknow.

The marketing company sells fast moving consumer goods of branded companies through its sales team. The boys and girls complained that at the time of recruitment they had been promised that after nine months of on-the-job training they would be made managers and would get salary of up to Rs 30,000.

They had also been promised salary of Rs 6,000 to 7,000 per month and a commission of Rs 15 for sale of Rs 120 worth of products.

The girls also alleged of sexual harassment by the local branch head, Anil Shrivastava. The latter, however, refuted all the allegation and said they were lies.

Area CSP Jitendra Singh said that he has received the complaint. He said no case has been registered against anyone and that they were investigating the matter.
