TAKING A tough stand against those people, who cheat the unemployed youths in the name of providing them employment, the Allahabad High Court has rejected the bail application of Ajai Pathak, a resident of Allahpur locality of district Allahabad, who had allegedly cheated the complainant and others in pretext of getting them appointed in Merchant Navy.

This order was passed by Justice GP Srivastava after hearing counsel for the applicant and counsel for the complainant RV Mishra, who opposed the bail application.
Rejecting the bail application, Justice GP Srivastava observed, “There is criminal history of as many as five cases of the applicant. All similar in nature against the applicant Pathak. It has also been alleged in the counter affidavit that in order to grab the money so cheated, the applicant lodged the FIR, which after investigation was found false. It has further been alleged that applicant and his family members had cheated a number of persons on the pretext of providing services in the Merchant Navy.”To recall, one Praval Mishra had lodged an FIR at George Town Police Station, Allahabad, under Section 420, 506, 323, and 504 of Indian Penal Code alleging that applicant Ajai Pathak and other accused persons cheated him and obtained Rs 1,75,000/- for appointment in Merchant Navy. In pursuance to this FIR, Pathak was arrested and later remanded in judicial custody.
