An engineer was among two persons who were today killed and another was injured when a jeep rammed into a tree in Haidergarh area, police said in Barabanki.
Hiralal Tiwari (45), who was posted as executive engineer at Paidpur Nagar Panchayat in Amethi, and Ram Baran Mishra were killed when the jeep in which they were travelling rammed into the tree near Bhikara village this morning, they said.

The jeep driver was seriously injured in the accident and was admitted to the primary health centre, they said.
