The ex-servicemen of Cooch Behar district on Monday held a demonstration at the office of Chief Medical Officer of Health demanding their recruitment as security personnel in the hospitals.

The ex-servicemen of Cooch Behar district on Monday held a demonstration at the office of Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) demanding their recruitment as security personnel in the hospitals.

General Secretary of District Ex-servicemen's Association (DESA), Tapan Chaudhury said, "Inexperienced youths were given the job. We were declined the opportunity despite a government directive in our favour."

Chaudhury said CMOH had listened to their demand and assured them of considering it.
