He also met Bhagwat’s deputy Bhaiyyaji Joshi and senior RSS leader Suresh Soni whose name also figured in the MPPEB scam for having recommended appointments in state government departments illegally.

This was the CM’s second bid to justify his stand vis-a-vis the scam before his seniors. A week back, Chouhan had air-dashed to New Delhi to give explanation to party president Rajnath Singh when it was alleged that his wife Sadhana Singh helped people to get selected through MPPEB exams illegally. The Congress party even alleged that Sadhana Singh was behind the scam.

Apparently, both Chouhan and Soni have dubbed it as a political conspiracy by Congress party to defame them. “A defeated Congress has lost balance (of mind),” said Chouhan after meeting RSS bosses on Sunday.

As reported earlier, Laxmikant Sharma, former state minister in Chouhan’s cabinet was arrested in scam connection and resigned from BJP’s membership.
