Dr Bansal was addressing a free health camp organised to discuss excessive uterine bleeding and its complications , at Jeevan Jyoti Hospital here on Wednesday.

Nearly 200 women and girls attended the camp and availed the facility of free check-ups, including ultrasound and blood tests, among others.

Cases of heavy bleeding had increased due to changes in lifestyle, Dr Bansal said, adding that this could cause further complications if not treated in time.

She advised patients to follow a healthy lifestyle with regular health check-ups.

Cases of heavy bleeding were mostly found in young girls, who were advised to discipline their day-to-day activities and avoid unnecessary stress.

Director of the hospital and senior laproscopic surgeon Dr AK Bansal said the hospital would organise free camps in other branches as well.

A free camp on blood pressure, cardio and abdominal problems and diabetes will be held at Jeevan Jyoti Hospital on January 22. Dr RK Sharma will lead the team of experts.

The camp will be organised under the aegis of the Jeevan Jyoti Charitable Trust.

Those who wish to attend the camp can register themselves either in person or through telephone.
