To avoid payment of tax, unruly motorists, posing as VIPs, often pick up quarrel with the expressway employees.

"Commuters, who are not from the villages, carry fake IDs and documents to avail the benefits. They often assault our staff. We try to avoid conflict, but they create trouble," said a DGSCL (Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited) spoke-sperson. "We have requested the police to deploy more personnel around the toll plaza. We have enough security staff, but they are not authorised to take action against such commuters," he added.

"We have trained our men to identify such commuters, but the recent killing has left them scared. Earlier, too, we have informed the police about such commuters. This is a major problem on the expressway and needs to redressed soon," the spokesperson said.
