Fast track court awards lifer in dowry case

Lifer has been awarded to the man for killing his wife over dowry demands besides slapping a fine of Rs 4,000.

A fast track court has awarded life imprisonment to a person for murdering his wife for dowry.

Justice Devi Shankar Srivastava awarded a life sentence to Ajore for killing his wife over dowry demands and also slapped a fine of Rs 4,000 on him.

A case was registered by Dayaram, father of the deceased girl in Dighwa police circle on June 21, 2004.
