The fate of the April 9 England-India one-day match in Guwahati is yet to be finalised and Assam Cricket Association has convened a general meeting on Sunday to discuss the situation arising out of the Election Commission's decision to hold the second phase of the Assembly polls in the state on April 10.

The meeting will discuss threadbare the various issues and problems that have cropped up due to the EC announcement and try to find solutions, ACA sources said.
They said one positive aspect was that the elections in Guwahati would be over in the first phase on April 3.
"But we have to find out whether the government is in a position to make available adequate security forces as the personnel may have to be rushed to those areas where polling will take place the next day."
"We are very keen on hosting the match. And we are positive that we will be able to do so," they said.
