It may be recalled that the victim’s parents were not allowed to meet their daughter last Saturday too and they were told to come with the permission of the district magistrate if they wanted to meet her.

The victim’s father Sabruddin reached the protection home at Moti Nagar in Naka this morning along with the office-bearer of AIDWA Madhu Garg.

They sought permission from the senior caretaker at the protection home. But the latter categorically refused to allow them to meet the girl. The caretaker said that the superintendent was away and without her permission they could not meet the inmate.

Sabruddin was told to come on Monday and meet the superintendent. If the latter allowed him, he could visit the girl then, the caretaker said. Sabruddin said he would go to the protection home again on Monday .

Meanwhile, in the ongoing signature campaign, the women activists today mobilised about 200 people in favour of their operation against the rape accused.

The campaign was held at Munshi Pulia crossing in Indira Nagar today.
