In yet another bizarre twist to the tale of a girl who had alleged that her father raped her and got her pregnant, it was revealed on Thursday the father had lodged an FIR in December 2011 pertaining to the elopement of the girl.
The police said the girl's father had approached the police in December, complaining that his daughter, a minor then, has eloped with a neighbour.
"Her father claims that she had an affair with a boy who lives in the same locality. They wanted to get married but the family was opposed to their relationship. She was a minor so could not get married and therefore she eloped with the boy," the police said.
The father also refuted the charge of rape by her daughter, saying that she was framing him so that she could live with that boy.
