Filipino national arrested with heroin in New Delhi

A 33-year-old Filipino woman was arrested here Tuesday for attempting to smuggle two kilograms of heroine out of the country.

A 33-year-old Filipino woman was arrested here Tuesday for attempting to smuggle two kilograms of heroine out of the country, Directorate Of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials said.

The woman, identified as Maso Ballo, was taking the consignment, hidden in her suitcase, to Bangkok in a Thai Airways flight when DRI sleuths caught her at the Delhi airport, the officials said.

The woman was presented before a city court and was sent to 14-day judicial custody, they added.
