Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan is to visit India later this month to begin work on his latest venture, a $60 million still-untitled action movie, a top Bollywood producer said on Friday.
The filmmaker, Mukesh Bhatt said Chan and a team of technicians and co-stars would shoot in regions of eastern and western India.
Bhatt's film production company, Vishesh Films, has tied up with Jackie Chan Productions as facilitator of the Indian leg of the project.
"It's not a joint production between us and Chan, but we will provide the entire support, right from our technicians to all infrastructure equipment for his movie," Bhatt said.
"It's a fast-paced action movie with a budget of $60 million and a significant portion (of that) will come into India through our services provided."
Bhatt said Chan is keen to shoot in India as the film has a Buddhist backdrop. The martial arts film will be shot in three locales - India, China and Hong Kong.
Bhatt said the film would also star Indian actors, although the cast has yet to be finalised.

Chan expressed a desire to shoot in India during the first India International Film Academy awards four years ago.
Chan, Asia's hottest star, has made huge successes of his "Rush Hour" and "Shanghai Noon" series.
Presently he is busy with remaking Jules Verne's classic, "Around The World In 80 Days."
Other hit films include "First Strike", "Super Cop", "Operation Condor", "Crime Story" and "Mr Nice Guy".
His movies have done brisk business in India, especially in the southern regions, with "Rush Hour" and "Shanghai Noon" dubbed into Hindi, Tamil and other regional languages.
Bhatt has produced hits such as last year's "Raaz" (Secret) and this year's "Jism" (Body).
