Finding lost form and some luck

After being somewhat out of sync on the opening day, it was nice to regain my feel. A decent second-round score of six-under par 66 ensures that I will be working over the weekend.

Three-under after two rounds keeps my hopes alive for a second Indian Open. I want to go for a 'W' (Win) and that's what interests me.

My putting improved on the second day. I got all my crucial putts on the down grain, so that was a little better for me.

Actually I have been rolling the putts well this season and today's round was in tune with that. Overall I also hit better and thankfully, there were no triples like yesterday when I went out of bounds once and almost repeated it a second time on the fifth hole. This time there were no such scares.

The first round was an out-of-body experience. I don't now if it was the jet lag, because I usually don't get it. The focus was there but the body didn't respond. It was totally different today.

The focus now shifts to the weekend. Maybe I will be a little conservative if I am somewhere up there. The course has changed a lot since I last played here. You have to struggle for pars if you miss the fairways, as the rough is tough. So I may not use the driver on some of the holes.

However, there are still two days remaining in the tournament. Let's wait and watch who is smiling the most on Sunday evening.
