Rajasthan police has lodged a FIR against a BJP MLA Jagannath Verma and his four supporters for allegedly attacking a police party and injuring four policemen at Aklera town of Jhalawar district on May 6, a senior official said on Monday.

The FIR was lodged against them on Sunday and the case was referred to the state CID-crime branch on Monday for investigation
As the matter related to the MLA, Superintendent of Police (Jhalawar), Sachin Mittal told PTI on telephone.
On a complaint of booth capturing at Bhalata polling booths on May 5, when the police party led by one SHO Bhanwar Singh went to chase the jeep of the MLA on May 6 at Aklera, the MLA and his supporters first pelted stones on them and later damaged their vehicles in which four cops were injured, according to the SP.
