"Manju Tiwari, a resident of Sector 62, has lodged an FIR against her daughter-in-law Shweta, her parents and her sisters among others, alleging that Shweta aborted the pregnancy after a sex determination test," said Baljit Singh, SHO, Sector 58 police station.

"In January this year, Manju alleged that the accused persons got Shweta tested. After the sex determination test showed that the foetus was a female, they pressurised Shweta to abort it," said Singh.

"Shweta told the police that she did not abort her child," said Singh.
