Jail authorities have lodged an FIR against 11 prisoners of district jail for allegedly indulging in violence in the prison premises.

An FIR had been lodge last evening in Alambagh police station against the prisoners who allegedly created ruckus in the district jail ransacking jail hospital, canteen and the archive and setting ablaze records, they said.

The trouble sparked after Balgovind suddenly took ill and died before being taken to the hospital, the sources said adding irate prisoners went berserk thereafter and indulged in violence.
