Fire in Noida’s Yamaha showroom, 10 bikes gutted

A major fire broke out at a Yamaha motorbike showroom in the Sector 10 area of the city on Thursday night. About 10 bikes were gutted. HT reports.

A major fire broke out at a Yamaha motorbike showroom in the Sector 10 area of the city on Thursday night. About 10 bikes were gutted.

A total of six fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames. They took two hours to being the situation under control.

The police said the damage could be controlled due to the quick action of the fire department.

“A blast in the fuel tanks of new bikes in the showroom must have led to the blaze. We immediately informed the fire department. Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot. However, no casualty has been reported,” said a senior police official.

This is one of the biggest showrooms of Yamaha in Noida and more than 30 new bike models were parked here.

“The motorcycles caught fire because of a blast in their tanks,” said a police officer.

A security guard of the showroom, informed the police about the incident.

The police are investigating the matter to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
