Speaking to the mediapersons VHP patron Ramakant Dubey said, "The latest example of demoralisation is to ask the army to vacate the "firing ranges". The state government has perhaps forgotten that it is because of the army and other security forces that peace has returned in the state."

"Keeping in mind the geographical and political conditions of the state, more such ranges are required. Lack of training will adversely affect the fighting capabilities of the jawans," he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that chunk of state land had already been illegally encroached upon by the so called "mafia" at the instance of politicians/administrators. "The government, instead of getting such huge chunks vacated, is spending millions on litigations, but without any result," Dubey said.
